10 Things My Daughter and I Love in Houston

I never thought that I would experience a city as large as Houston, but learning about such a unique area has been a wonderful addition to my life. Here are some of my favorite things:

1. Time with my daughter in such a diverse locale - There is always something new and exciting in this metropolis!

2. Great Tex-Mex cuisine - Who doesn't love guacamole prepared table side?

3. One-of-a-kind shopping trips - The grocery stores are huge and the department stores have everything!

4. Binge watching Netflix - We love series with strong female characters and lots of drama!

5. Playing games with my daughter - She wins most of the time, but we have so much fun!

6. Drinking great Texas coffee on a sunny morning - Java in this state should be savored!

7. Stopping at Buc-ee's gas station - If you have never been to a gourmet gas station, you haven't lived.

8. Driving like you mean it! - In Houston, you go, baby!

9. Cutting edge, high end nail salons - All natural, nontoxic products in a serene setting. They even massage your shoulders here!

10. Great people - The folks in Houston are just so nice!

I never thought that my daughter and son-in-law would live so far away from Memphis, but this has been a great city to explore!
